Their cup of wine dropped with blood symbolized the first ever International Treaty of Friendship between the Spaniards and Filipinos. The impressive sculpture was created by Napoleon Abueva, one of the Philippines’ greatest artists and is also a proud Boholano. It stands in an open platform and portrays five life-sized sculptures of men who are gathered around one table, with Sikatuna and Legaspi holding their cups of wine with drops of their blood. To add to the view is the beautiful Bohol Sea with breathtaking sight of the Bohol island.
